The Steinbeis Innovation Centre "European Projects" (2007-DE-66) is
accredited as a coordinating and sending organisation within the
EVS-program, for hosting volunteers we are cooperating with several
organisations of the german social and health care system.

On the deadline of 1st of April 2010 we want to apply for the
following projects:

Project start in September 2010, duration 9 to 12 months

2009-DE-129 IWO, Sheltered workshop for Disabled, Weingarten
Project start in July 2010, duration 9 to 12 months

2007-DE-169 State School for Visually Impaired at Waldkirch
Project start in September 2010, duration 11 months

2007-DE-85 Residential Home for the Elderly St. Nikolai at Waldkirch
Project start in August / September 2010, duration 9 to 12 months

2007-DE-171 Residential Home for the Elderly St. Raphael at Neustadt
Project start in August 2010, duration 9 to 12 months

2009-DE-145 Sheltered Workshop for Disabled at Schramberg
Project start in July / August 2010, duration 9 to 12 months

2008-DE-118 Foundation St. Franziskus Heiligenbronn, School for the
Sensorial Disabled
Project start in September 2010, duration 11 months

2008-DE-157 St. Josefshaus Herten for disabled people
Project start in September 2010, duration 12 months

Volunteers are expected to have basic skills in german language, for
school projects an intermediate level is required.

Interested candidates should send us their CV and a p r o j e c t
r e l a t e d motivation letter for the project they want to join, if
they are interested in several projects, they should write for each
project a particular motivation letter, in which they should describe :

1) why they want to do a voluntary service
2) why they want to do a voluntary service in a foreign country
3) why they want to do the voluntary service in the specific project and
4) what they think they can contribute to the particular project.

We will not take in consideration candidatures with only a general

The 1st of April deadline is coming and we have a lot of EVS hosting places propositions for u and for your volunteers.
Shortly about our organization if u don’t remember or don’t know, who we are:
Public organization “Actio Catholica Patria” participates in EVS from 2000 as hosting, sending and coordinating organization. From 2000 It send about 67 volunteers, to other countries, and was a hosting or coordinating organization for 65 international volunteers.
The main aim of the organization “Actio Catholica Patria” is “Young person who is ready for the life”, and the organization is working with youth, volunteers through non formal methods, which are very similar to the ideas of EVS. We give possibility for young Lithuanian people to gain new experiences in other countries. And volunteers from abroad bring various ideas, new activities and methods to our organization.
Also we provide other organizations with the possibility to host international volunteers and to get their support, ideas and experience.
In the attachment you will find a short description about volunteering in Kaunas based on previous experiences, also the list of the hosting organizatios, which are wiling to host volunteers for the year 2010-2011. All the projects start at 1st of October 2010 and last at least 8 months.
Also I‘ve attached a non-formal questionaire for applying volunteers, which is asked to be filled by the ones, who are willing to take part in our project. The info will be used just to ease-up the selection process a little bit.
So, I‘m waiting for your CV and filled questionaire until 16th of March 2010. The selection process will take part from 17th to 22nd of March, so by that time you will get our decision.
